Jennifer Hernandez
Jennifer was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. In 2004 she moved to Indiana with her parents and two brothers. Jennifer is a proud daughter of Mexican immigrant parents and from a young age she knew her passion was helping others. Jennifer received her bachelor’s degree in Spanish from IUPUI in 2013 and in 2014, she completed a Bridging the Gap Training Program for medical interpreters. After volunteering for a couple of months at Muñoz Legal in Fall 2013, for her senior capstone course, she was certain that working in the legal field and helping immigrants was her passion.
Cinthya Perez
Cinthya is a Legal Assistant at Munoz Legal. She was born in Mexico, speaks English and Spanish. Her family migrated to the United States in 1997 when she was 12 years old and has resided in Indiana since then. She graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis in 2003 and completed general studies courses in Ivy Tech Community College in 2004. She found her interest in learning about immigrant rights and social justice issues throughout her high school years when she became a volunteer in a national campaign advocating for the DREAM Act.
Sayra campos
Sayra was born in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico and has resided in Indianapolis, IN since she was 5 years old. Since graduating from Broad Ripple High School in 2010 Sayra has been involved in several local and national grassroot immigrant led movements including work with the Latino Youth Collective and the National Immigrant Youth Alliance. As a founding member of the Indiana Undocumented Youth Alliance in 2012, Sayra has experience in nonprofit and community leadership. Sayra currently serves as Treasurer for the Indiana Undocumented Youth Alliance, Board Member for the Midwest Immigration Fund Coalition, Community Ambassador for the Central Indiana Community Foundation and a member of Movimiento Cosecha Indiana. Growing up as undocumented immigrant in the United States has pushed Sayra to continue to serve UndocuHoosiers across the state and continues fight for permanent protection for all.
STUART MORA
Stuart was born in Kansas and raised in Lansing, Michigan. He received a bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Notre Dame in 2008. Stuart learned Spanish traveling extensively in Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, and Brazil. His experiences abroad inform his desire to serve immigrant communities here in Indiana. Stuart is currently a proud husband and father of two young children. He has worked at Munoz Legal since May of 2021.
